2 Keep records

Organizing several people is much easier when you have a plan for cleaning and maintaining order on paper. Come up with a way that is convenient for all of you. It can be just a to-do list for each tenant or some kind of schedule, calendar.

Make this plan, agree on it and hang it in a prominent place. When everyone sees that responsibilities are distributed fairly and there are working rules that are the same for everyone, cleaning problems become less.

3 Use cleaning assistants

You need to automate and speed up cleaning with the help of special equipment and chemicals, even if you live alone. But in a large family, this is especially true, as everything gets dirty faster.

The oven gets dirty quickly because you cook in it all the time, so it makes sense to stock up on a powerful fat-dissolving agent, instead of scrubbing it for two hours with dishwashing detergent.

Do floors get dirty faster? A good robot vacuum cleaner with a wet cleaning function or a steam mop will become a necessary tool, not a whim.

And a dryer will help save space and not force the apartment with floor dryers that everyone will stumble over.

four Make cleaning affordable

Sometimes no one undertakes cleaning, because it requires effort even at the start. For example, to vacuum — you need to pull the vacuum cleaner out of the balcony littered with things. Or in order to clean the stove, you need to look somewhere for gloves, a sponge and a cleaning agent that lie in different places or are completely gone.

Store your cleaning supplies in a safe yet accessible location where they can be easily and quickly accessed. No one likes digging through the back of the closet behind the trash can to find sponges. Another thing is if they are in a plastic box in a conspicuous place.

5 Give up perfectionism

Surely you would like the household to neatly fold their shoes into the shoe rack when they return home. But if this idea is indifferent to them, then all the shoes will simply lie on the floor in the hallway. Compromise and put a bench in the hallway under which a pair of shoes can be easily pushed.

And so it is in everything: if the children do not want to beautifully arrange toys on the shelves, put them a wicker basket. If someone is too lazy to carry dirty clothes to the bathroom, put a laundry basket in the bedroom.

6 Use Reminders

This is convenient if everyone in the house uses smartphones. Use any app with a calendar and sound reminders to mark when and whose turn it is to vacuum or take out the trash. Then you don’t have to remind each other personally and it will be possible to avoid quarrels.

7 Restock

Do not forget to ensure that the apartment always has fresh sponges, cleaning products for various surfaces, rubber gloves, and new rags. The more people involved in cleaning, the more consumables will be, but this will make cleaning easier and more accessible to everyone.

eight Get rid of things together

Instead of the big cleanup nobody likes, have a decluttering session. Divide the apartment into zones and assign a responsible family member to each.

This method helps to get rid of the excess much faster than if someone else did it, and makes it easier to clean up in the future. At the same time, it is perceived more as a game than a boring cleaning, so people are much easier to organize.
