One of the most common succulents, and for good reason — it looks great, being both a «baby» and an overgrown plant. This is a relative of aloe, and therefore it has similar elongated thick leaves that diverge in different directions. At the base is a dense «rosette». The edges of these leaflets-plates can be smooth and jagged — both options look interesting. Haworthia is suitable for normal room temperature, the level of humidity, like other succulents, is not critical. True, due to the fact that they like a dry climate, beware of overflow. You need to focus on the complete drying of the topsoil.

2 echeveria

This type of succulent is also sometimes called the «stone rose» due to the arrangement of its fleshy leaves in a spiral, thereby forming a flower. Echeveria is very low (3-5 cm), but it looks gorgeous due to its lush growth in breadth — it is suitable both for a single landing and for general compositions with other succulents. In spring or summer, echeveria may bloom, but not for long — about 20 days. As for the temperature, in winter it needs a little coolness — 9-10 degrees, like on a glazed balcony. You need to water regularly, but not often, also determine the level of dryness of the soil.

This dry-loving plant has a very thick and dense stem, dark green leaves, hard and fleshy, are “strung” on it. Unlike echeveria, gasteria can grow strongly — up to 25 cm. Room temperature will suit her perfectly, but in winter it is better to cool it — 10-15 degrees will be enough. Once a week or two, succulents are watered most of the year, in winter — no more than once a month. In gasteria, the leaves of the lower level sometimes dry up — this is a normal process, the main thing is to remove them from the plant in time. This representative of succulents looks most beautiful in a separate pot, but next to others.

This succulent is prone to active growth and looks rather unusual. On the stem of a creeping species, rounded leaves of blue-green or gray-pink hues are formed, which seem to swell. In mid-summer, pachyphytum blooms, spike-shaped buds appear at the base of some leaves. He needs a fairly high temperature — 20-26 degrees. In winter — a little less, about 16: it will be enough to rearrange it to a cooler place in the apartment. You need to be extremely careful with watering — pachyphytum reacts sharply to overflow: both roots and leaves rot.

5 Monantes

One of the most fun and unusual succulents that attracts attention with its bunches of small leaves. Monantes can both grow in breadth (creeping type shoots) and stretch upwards (standing type shoots). In both cases, it looks stylish in a separate container. It grows well in strong light — it is better to put it on the southern windowsills. Conditions and watering are traditional for succulents: in winter, it is recommended to reduce the temperature to 10-12 degrees and water less often.

6 Piaranthus

Being quite familiar in appearance during the dormant period, flowering pyaranthus looks very exotic. Star-shaped flowers the size of the leaves themselves form on their tops — yellow and reddish hues. You can catch this spectacle in late August or early autumn.
