If the curtain cannot be washed in the machine, you need to use effective means to make it easier to wash by hand. First, soak the fabric in warm water with detergent gel, citric acid and baking soda. This will help soften limescale and get rid of yellowness. In case of severe pollution, a little whiteness can be added to the water — unless, of course, the curtain is white. Leave the fabric to soak for 2-3 hours, and rinse thoroughly after washing.

After half an hour, this mixture can be washed off. If necessary, additionally walk with a sponge dipped in dishwashing gel. Unfortunately, home remedies will not help if mold has started on the walls and ceiling — its pores will still fall on the curtain. In this case, you need a large-scale treatment of the room with store-bought potent means.
