In this small bedroom, the color accent performs two functions at once. Firstly, it makes the space more interesting, preventing it from turning into a faceless, light interior that resembles a hotel room. Secondly, a bright azure hue makes the wall a little larger, aligning the proportions of a long rectangular room.

Advice

If you decide to repeat this technique in your bedroom, please note that not only the facades of the cabinets are colored here, but also the box that closes the space under the ceiling. It is the continuous flow of color that gives the desired effect.

2 Orange armchair in the corner of a bright living room

A light neutral color palette reigns supreme in this living room. A bright accent was created due to the additional soft zone. A rich orange armchair stands in a corner, effectively standing out against the white wall and carpet. It is well illuminated by the light from the window during the day, and in the evening by ceiling lights. It turns out moderately bright and very comfortable.

Advice

If you also want to add a bright armchair to a bright, spacious room, remember that this accent needs to be maintained. For example, in this project, the upholstery echoes the color of the ottoman for the legs and the paintings on the wall.

3 Color block in the hallway

The designer designed this hallway in an atypical dark palette for a windowless space. Therefore, the only color accent was made bright and light. It adds life and coziness to this room, and the shape of the spot, which is overlapped by the door and the mirror, creates an interesting rhythm.

Advice

Carefully choose the figure you want to draw on the wall. It should echo in form with what surrounds it. For example, in this hallway, all lines are straight and clear, and only the mirror has roundings. Therefore, the color spot was made of the same laconic, slightly rounded shape.

four Red seat chairs

The color accent does not have to be large, and this kitchen is proof of that. On a black and white background with a hint of gray, two bright seats of bar stools immediately catch the eye. In support of them, a poster was hung on the wall next to them — so the accent became more balanced.

Advice

This technique only works in neutral interiors, because a small accent should not be interrupted by anything. In such a kitchen, it is no longer possible to arrange green jars for spices, hang yellow kitchen towels and place a hot pink toaster.

5 Large painting in the living room

A very artistic bright element was chosen for this living room — a large picture. The advantages of this solution is that the decor can always be replaced. And it is very easy to choose matching accents — just find sofa cushions or a blanket to match.

Advice

In order for the color accent in the picture to be noticeable, it must be proportional to the size of the room. Please note: here the height of the canvas is approximately twice the height of the back of the sofa.

6 Light green niche in the hallway

This hallway used one of the most obvious places for a color accent, which many still overlook — a niche. For her, they chose a pleasant pistachio shade and beautifully shaded the main white color with it. It came out fresh and classy.

Advice

Please note: the entire niche is painted green. Didn’t miss a single detail, even the plinth. We also added two LED strips with soft diffused light so that the niche does not get lost and looks like an expensive design solution, although anyone can repeat it.

7 Red wallpaper under the ceiling in the bathroom

The designer made this small white bathroom even more original and brighter by adding a strip of moisture-resistant wallpaper under the ceiling. Cloths of rich red color with a contrasting pattern, so they immediately attract attention.

Advice

In such an interior, any little things like towels or shampoo bottles should be either white or exactly the same color as the wallpaper. It is important that visual noise from different packages does not spoil the effective reception.
